Four women tell their stories...stories about being peeled from their skin, boiled alive, and eaten; experiences which can be painful and sensual at the same time. Prawns a la Indigo is a darkly poetic play inspired by femail surrealist artists Maya Deren, Elizabeth Lee Miller, Joyce Mansour and Toyen, as well as Pussy Riot and Carl Gustav Jung.

Consider this your invitation to a big prawn feast!

Premiere on December 15 at Dixon Place Main Stage.

V I V I S E C T I C

Vivisectic researches the representation of female body and the stereotypical roles assigned to it.  Two dancers, sitting on chairs and covered from the waste up, start by displaying their legs--as almost inhuman objects. Adornded with jewels, the legs are a luxury art-work, destined to be at a private collection; another glossy trophy to be bought.

Premiere at the Center for Performance Research on November 12 and November 14.

"The response of the students today was confirmation that The Voice of Anne Frank needs to continue to be performed...[it] needs to be seen by all students as it not only focuses on a significant part of our history but speaks in an honest way to the feelings and emotions that young people experience in any era. The talent and dedication of the artists performing The Voice of Anne Frank make the message and the feelings of the story of Anne Frank come alive."
